Speed Performance

ZoogVPN reached 420 Mbps download and 310 Mbps upload on our 1 Gbps test line in London. Latency to the nearest server measured 11ms — excellent for gaming and real-time applications. We test each provider across four server locations at both peak (6–9 PM local) and off-peak (2–4 AM) hours and average the results.

We ran all tests over WireGuard — ZoogVPN's recommended protocol on Windows. Switching to OpenVPN reduced download speeds by roughly 15 percent (to ~355 Mbps on the UK server) but kept latency stable. IKEv2 sat between the two in throughput while delivering the lowest latency overhead. Security
